Multiple myeloma assessment includes serum and urine monoclonal protein testing, serum free light chains, bone marrow evaluation and imaging.

Baseline care should assess renal function, calcium, anemia, bone disease, infection risk and performance status.

Treatment planning should consider patient fitness, transplant eligibility, disease risk and supportive bone and infection care.
