Anaemia

Anaemia evaluation includes clinical history, physical examination, complete blood count, red cell indices and reticulocyte count.

Common targeted tests include iron studies, ferritin, B12, folate, inflammatory markers, renal profile and hemolysis markers when clinically indicated.

Management should be directed by the underlying cause and monitored with clinical response and repeat laboratory assessment.
