Dr. Bassam Francis Matti
Dr. Bassam Francis Matti is a consultant haematologist at the Baghdad haematology center and the bone marrow transplant center at the medical city Dr. Bassam was born in Baghdad in 1973 and completed his postgraduate training in Medicine from Mosel/Ibn Sina teaching hospital in 2004 as a part of requirement for Arab and Iraqi Board of internal medicine then post-graduate student in clinical adult haematology at Baghdad teaching hospital-medical city in 2007. He is one of key opinion leader in haematology inside Iraq and one of hematologists who arranging the Iraqi haematology guideline since 2009 till now. He was a member of the ministry of health clinical hematology consultation committee from 2009-2012. Now he is a member of Iraqi national drug approval and a president of Iraqi society of haematology.. Dr. Bassam has been continuously attending national and international conferences, and has several published works in the field of hematology mainly in chronic myeloid leukemia. In 18/09/2020 he’s name was approved by Council of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh for FRCP-Edin. Since 2007, he is a member of Iraqi society of haematology and elected as head of Iraqi society of haematology from 2019 till now.
